Strong weather fluctuations cause material damage in several states – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Several states across the country witnessed strong weather fluctuations that caused varying material damage, without causing any human losses, according to what was reported by civil protection services.

In the state of Algiers, a partial collapse of the upper floor of an old, uninhabited two-story building was recorded in the municipality of Kasbah, without any injuries recorded.

As for the state of Oran, the ceiling of a room collapsed inside a ground floor dwelling containing five rooms, while the municipality of Arzew witnessed a complete collapse of the ceiling of a room, in addition to a partial collapse of the ceiling of a second room in an old building consisting of a ground floor and an upper floor.

The civil protection services in the municipality of Bir al-Jir also intervened to absorb the accumulated rainwater and remove a car that was stuck due to the high water level, without recording any human accidents.

In the state of Tlemcen, civil protection teams in the municipality of Ramchi intervened to remove a car that was stuck as a result of the rising water levels of Oued Tafna, without recording any human damage.

For its part, Mostaganem Province witnessed the partial collapse of the roof of a fragile residence with an area estimated at 3 square meters in the El Balato neighborhood, in addition to the fall of a tree on the tramway on Ben Yahia Belkacem Street, without any injuries recorded.

The Civil Protection Services confirmed that they are continuing to monitor the situation across the various states of the country, while taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of citizens and to intervene immediately when any emergency occurs.
