Strengthening relations is the focus of the meeting of the President of the National People’s Assembly with the Indonesian Ambassador – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Ibrahim Bougali, Speaker of the National People’s Assembly, received today, Monday, at the Assembly’s headquarters, the Indonesian Ambassador to Algeria, Shalif Akbar Tjandraningrat, in the presence of Mohamed Yazid Ben Hamouda, Chairman of the Algeria-Indonesia Friendship Parliamentary Group.

During the meeting, Bougali stressed the depth of the historical relations between Algeria and Indonesia, praising the ambassador’s role in promoting diplomatic rapprochement. He also praised the mutual visits of parliamentarians that contributed to pushing cooperation to higher levels.

The two parties also discussed economic relations, stressing the need to strengthen trade and investment partnerships between the two countries, while praising the common positions on just issues at the international level.

For his part, the Indonesian ambassador expressed his gratitude for the warm reception, praising the strong relations between Algeria and Indonesia in various fields.
