Strengthening coordination between religious affairs and the Supreme Islamic Council – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments received Youssef BelmehdiToday, Tuesday, President Supreme Islamic Council, Congratulations Zaid Al Khairat the Ministry’s headquarters, in a meeting devoted to discussing ways to enhance cooperation between the two bodies.

A statement from the ministry explained that the meeting falls within the framework of supporting joint coordination in a way that serves the national religious authority and enhances efforts aimed at establishing a moderate and balanced religious discourse.

According to the same source, the two parties discussed the preparation of a joint action plan that includes several areas, especially with regard to fatwas, developing Islamic culture programs, and organizing seminars and intellectual forums, in a way that contributes to consolidating rational religious awareness and keeping pace with society’s concerns.
