Statement from the Al-Qassam Brigades regarding the bodies of prisoners and the Rafah escalation – Algerian Al-Hiwar

The Martyr Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, announced on Sunday that the body of an occupation prisoner had been found during ongoing searches, stressing its readiness to hand it over “if field conditions permit it.”
The Brigades warned in their statement that any field escalation would hinder search efforts and recover the rest of the bodies, which could lead to delaying their recovery by the occupation.
Regarding the clashes in the Rafah area, Al-Qassam denied any connection to the current events there, noting that these are “red areas under the control of the occupation,” and that communication has been cut off with the remainder of its groups there since the return of the war last March.
The statement added: “We confirm our full commitment to the ceasefire agreement in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and we are not aware of any clashes in Rafah.”
For his part, Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq stated that the movement is “committed to the ceasefire agreement.”
Accusing the entity of violating the truce and “creating pretexts to justify its continued aggression.”
On the other hand, the entity’s army spokesman announced that his forces were attacked in Rafah.
Describing this as a “flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement,”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held an emergency security meeting to discuss the response, stressing that “the war is not over yet.”
In a new escalation, this morning, the entity’s aircraft launched three raids on the city of Rafah.
It is the first since the truce came into effect, amid accusations that Hamas violated the agreement.
Field sources reported that the explosion, which targeted an occupation engineering vehicle, occurred during excavation work in an area where tunnels were suspected.
While Hamas denied responsibility for the incident, explaining that the Israeli vehicle stepped on an old bomb that exploded at the site.
