Ashraf Wali AnnabaAbdul Qadir Jalawi, on Thursday evening, the signing of a cooperation and friendship agreement between Annaba and the municipality of Chungzings in the People’s Republic of China.
According to a statement by the Ministry of Interior, this agreement comes as a continuation of the memorandum of understanding signed in 2023.
The agreement aims to move towards a new stage of practical cooperation by implementing joint projects within a program that runs from 2025 to 2028.
The visit of the Chinese delegation included two prominent industrial institutions in the state, the Algerian Steel Foundation (formerly Cedar Al -Hajjar). And the Fartiel Foundation of the complex Asmal.
Where have their economic activities and capabilities have been identified, while discussing the possibilities of partnership in a number of priority areas.
Among these areas is agriculture and technology transfer, by updating agricultural practices. And integrating smart technologies and innovative solutions into the fields of irrigation and production.
And the industry, by supporting the creation of an integrated environment to embrace startups in the auto industry. In addition to implementing model projects to reduce industrial pollution using environmentally friendly techniques.
As well as renewable energies, by expanding the use of solar energy, and modernizing the electrical network via smart technologies to enhance energy effectiveness.
Tourism, by mutual promotion between the two cities and the development of joint tourism products that highlight the cultural and civilizational diversity of each of them.
Reconstruction, by exchanging experiences and best practices in the areas of smart urban planning and sustainable urban preparation.
This step is devoted to the two sides’ commitment to expanding the decentralized cooperation. And converting it into actual projects that serve sustainable development and strengthen the links of Algerian-Chinese friendship.
