Seifi supervises the unloading of the first shipments of Gara Jbeilat iron ore in Oran – New Algeria

During this occasion, the Prime Minister was briefed on detailed technical presentations and in-depth explanations on the progress of the production operations at the complex, starting from receiving and unloading iron ore, through the various processing stages, all the way to the final production of the products, with a focus on regularity of workflow, efficiency of procedures, and smoothness of operations, ensuring adherence to approved technical and industrial standards and achieving the highest levels of quality of outputs.

After that, Minister Seifi made a field visit to each of the pelletizing, smelting, and rolling mill units, where he followed the progress of operations directly, to see the extent of the organization of work and the efficiency of the production chain in all its stages.

These ceremonies took place in the presence of a high-level ministerial delegation, along with members of both chambers of Parliament, representatives of local, civil and military authorities, as well as representatives of civil society, notables and senior guests.

This step falls within the framework of implementing the supreme instructions of the President RepublicIt is an embodiment of the national strategy aimed at diversifying the sources of the national economy outside the hydrocarbons sector, and laying new foundations and resources to promote sustainable economic development.

This strategic project is considered an essential pillar in the process of valuing national mining resources and strengthening the iron and steel industry, which contributes to supporting economic diversification efforts, developing transportation infrastructure, stimulating industrial investment and creating new job opportunities, so that the mining sector becomes a pivotal tributary to national economic growth and serving the interests of future generations.
