Seifi participates in the African Union Summit and the Africa-Italy Summit in Addis Ababa – New Algeria

The Prime Minister was received at Bole International Airport by the Ethiopian Minister of Innovation and Technology, Beleta Mawla, in the presence of Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Sufyan Chaib, Secretary of State in charge of the National Community Abroad, in addition to the Algerian Ambassador to Ethiopia.

Participants in the African Union Summit, which will be held under the slogan: “Ensuring the availability of water and safe sanitation systems to achieve the goals of Agenda 2063,” will discuss opportunities to enhance continental cooperation and coordinate efforts among member states, with a focus on economic, political and social integration.

By the way, the Africa-Italy Summit will discuss ways to support the partnership between the two sides, especially by enhancing efforts to implement the Mattei Plan, which was adopted during the first edition of this summit held in Rome on January 28 and 29, 2024.

In addition to participating in these two summits, the Prime Minister will also participate in a series of high-level meetings, on the Forum of Heads of State and Government of the African Peer Assessment Mechanism, the Committee of Heads of State and Government on Climate Change, as well as the Committee of Ten on Reform of the United Nations Security Council, which aims to strengthen common African positions on these important issues through intensifying consultation and coordination among member states.

This participation embodies Algeria’s firm commitment to supporting joint African action, promoting development paths, and devoting the principles of solidarity and continental integration.
