Seifi discusses the 2025 outcome and 2026 expectations at the meeting of the Supreme Council for Import Control – New Algeria

Today, Monday, Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a meeting of the Supreme Council for Import Control, devoted to presenting the outcome of imports of goods and services for the year 2025, and studying expectations for the year 2026, according to a statement from the interests of the Prime Ministry.

During this meeting, the Council reviewed a number of measures aimed at improving the system of regulating imports, by better ensuring the aspirations of economic customers, with the aim of responding to the real needs of the national economy.

According to the statement, in this context, the focus has been on simplifying and digitizing import procedures, and on joint sectoral coordination in a way that ensures better processing and follow-up of import operations, without forgetting the primary goal of this system, which is to enhance national production and develop investment.
