Sayhi: Transparency and modernization of payments is an “irreversible commitment”

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Saihi, supervised, Thursday in Algiers, a study and information day on “measures taken in the field of simplifying procedures, modernizing payments and following them up on the ground,” during which he stressed that transparency and modernizing payments are “a firm and irreversible commitment” to building a modern administration that will serve the utility.

The Minister explained, in his speech on this occasion – which took place via remote video lecture technology – that comprehensive digitization represents “a fundamental pillar in the path of state reform, as an effective tool for combating bureaucracy, enhancing transparency and governance, and improving the quality of public service,” highlighting that simplifying procedures in the field represents “a firm, permanent, and irreversible commitment to building a modern administration that will serve the utility.”

During this study day – which took place with the participation of central frameworks, bodies under guardianship, and state frameworks – Saihi confirmed that the sector “engaged seriously in this path through a strategic vision to modernize management systems and develop performance,” recalling that the year 2025 witnessed “a qualitative leap in the field of digital transformation, embodied through the completion of 28 digital projects distributed across the various axes of the national strategy for digital transformation.”

The Minister added that within the framework of digital governance, “8 new digital services were launched for the benefit of subscribers, and 6 services directed to institutions, as well as 6 digital platforms to modernize the management of bodies under guardianship.”

Within the framework of the digital economy, the Minister said that “a high-tech training project for the benefit of human resources and 4 digital financial mechanisms, including remote payment, electronic payment, and automatic deduction, have been implemented, in support of the transparency and facilitation of transactions.”

As part of efforts to simplify procedures, Sayhi revealed “the cancellation of 27 administrative documents during the month of December 2025, which were burdening the beneficiaries, and they were now processed automatically without obligating the servicer to move, in dedication to the principle of one digital administration.”

Regarding deepening the process of simplifying procedures and modernizing performance, Sayhi announced the adoption of a “new approach,” soon at the level of the bodies under guardianship, based on “the complete digitization of external employment paths.”

For reference, this meeting culminated in a set of recommendations, all of which were focused on “efforts to support the reform process and strengthen the principles of good governance,” confirming the sector’s commitment to continuing the path of simplifying procedures and improving the quality of services, in line with the directives of the country’s higher authorities.
