Sayhi orders the acceleration of the implementation of the strategic goals of the sector

On Sunday, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdul Haq Sayhi, chaired a working session devoted to following up on the implementation of the established programs and the road map and ways to evaluate them, including the performance of bodies and institutions under guardianship.

The ministry’s statement explained, “As part of a series of periodic meetings with the central administration frameworks, Sayhi chaired at the ministry’s headquarters a working session that included the central administration frameworks, which was devoted to following up on the implementation of the established programs and the road map and ways to evaluate them, including the performance of the bodies and institutions under guardianship.”

During this meeting, the Minister listened to presentations that focused on “the outcome of the activities completed and the measures taken in the areas of work, employment and social security,” as well as “the extent of progress in implementing the planned projects and programs.”

Minister Sayhi issued a number of instructions and directives through which he stressed “accelerating and without any delay in implementing the strategic objectives of the sector, especially in the field of services provided by the bodies under supervision, while strengthening the interconnection with the various bodies as well as with other ministerial sectors, with the aim of modernizing the sector and improving the quality of public service.”

He also stressed “the necessity of accelerating the launch and implementation of all projects that have a direct positive impact on public service, while strictly adhering to the specified deadlines and ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in implementation.”

Regarding the protection of workers’ rights – the statement adds – the Minister issued instructions requiring “the initiative to sensitize employers to the necessity of creating a work environment that encourages economic development while establishing a training program for the benefit of labor inspectors, which includes topics that would improve the performance of public facilities and improve the quality of service provided.”

The directives included “organizing awareness-raising activities for the benefit of workers of all categories, to explain their rights and duties in the field of work, employment, and social security.” He also provided instructions to the central administration frameworks, each in his area, stipulating “the necessity of ensuring and ensuring periodic follow-up of the activities of the bodies under guardianship.”

In this regard, the Minister specifically mentioned matters related to “the extent of implementation of recommendations related to improving public service and digitization, and the deadlines for implementing goals in the areas of developing the world of labor and social security, by adhering to the deadlines for processing administrative files related to services provided by bodies under guardianship.”

Saihi concluded by emphasizing that “all activities and programs will be subject to a comprehensive, regular and phased evaluation, with the aim of correcting imbalances and enhancing performance, in order to ensure a modern and effective public service that responds to the promotion and development of the nation.”
