Sayhi calls for modernizing the management of the Unemployment Insurance Fund and enhancing support for entrepreneurship – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

On Thursday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdelhak Sayhi, chaired a working session dedicated to evaluating the activities of the National Unemployment Insurance Fund, in the presence of the Ministry’s and the Fund’s executives.

During the meeting, the Minister listened to a presentation from the Director General of the Fund, who reviewed the Fund’s efforts to support employment and improve the quality of public services provided to stakeholders.

In addition to the progress of digitization projects and the implementation of previous directives.

After an in-depth discussion, the Minister presented a set of directives that included the need to abandon traditional management methods and adopt more flexible and effective approaches to work.

He also stressed the importance of adopting digitization exclusively and developing remote services to simplify administrative procedures and reduce file processing times.

In the same context, Sayhi called for accelerating the processing of various files at the fund level to ensure better service and enhance citizens’ confidence in the system.

He also stressed the need to amend the basic law of the Fund to expand its tasks and support entrepreneurship and expand job opportunities, especially in the field of establishing emerging enterprises.

The Minister highlighted the need to invest in qualifying human resources to ensure employees’ ability to face new challenges in the field of public service.

He also called for activating the unified window and enhancing coordination between the sector’s bodies, especially in the new states, to facilitate procedures for citizens.

At the conclusion of the session, Sayhi stressed the importance of continuous follow-up on the implementation of directives and submitting regular evaluation reports to ensure the progress of reforms aimed at improving the performance of the National Unemployment Insurance Fund.
