The Algerian Football Federation confirmed the appointment of former international player Rafik Saifi as the head coach of the national Olympic team.
A statement published by FAF regarding the outcomes of the Federal Office’s meeting on Saturday stated that Saifi was assigned the task of leading the team to reach the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
The national team has been absent from the Olympics since the Rio edition in Brazil ten years ago, when it was eliminated from the first round under the leadership of Swiss coach Pierre-Andre Schurmann.
