Saeed supervises a working session – New Algeria

The Minister of Transport, Said Saioud, accompanied by the Governor of the State of Algiers, Mohamed Abdel Nour Rabhi, supervised a working session this Thursday morning, at the state headquarters.

This step comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, during his supervision of the presentation of the strategic vision for developing and modernizing the capital, which calls for launching the implementation of the listed projects and following up on their implementation.

The working session took place in the presence of executives from the ministry and state, directors of public institutions in the transport sector, executive directors, and study offices.
During which the Minister, accompanied by the governor of the state and their accompanying delegation, listened to a detailed presentation on the yellow plan projects, which include installing the smart tri-color system at the level of intersection points in all the state’s regions, extending the tramway line, extending the metro line, the aerial elevator car project, and the central train station completion project. And the completion of three exchange poles, in addition to a presentation on waterfront projects from the Admiralty to Tafoura Terrace.

In a speech delivered by the Minister, he praised the efforts of the Algiers Province departments that seek to modernize the capital, considering that all the proposed projects are of great importance and utmost necessity to achieve the desired goals.
He also stressed his readiness to cooperate with the state’s interests to implement the projects, and provided some directions and suggestions regarding a number of projects, such as modernizing the Agha station and developing the port of Algiers.

A field visit will then take place during which the Minister, the Governor and the delegation accompanying them will inspect the ongoing works on the roof of the Ponta parking lot and the corridor in Martyrs’ Square, as well as the Fish Square Park, where explanations were received about the ongoing works by those in charge of the projects, especially the fishing port.
