Qalibaf: Regional security must come from within and not be imposed from without – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Qalibaf, stressed that achieving security in the region should be sustainable and emanate from its countries, stressing that it cannot be imposed by external parties.
Qalibaf explained that his country informed the countries of the region that the American presence would not contribute to achieving stability, calling for the departure of American forces. He also pointed out that the Iranian launch pad system witnessed changes after what he described as the “12-day war,” which, according to him, made it outside the scope of targeting opponents.
He added that what he described as the “enemy” was unable to impose its plans, in exchange for Iran implementing what it had planned, stressing that the features of the Middle East will change following this war, without achieving the goals sought by the United States.
In the same context, Qalibaf announced that his country intends to work with Islamic countries in the region to establish a system of joint cooperation in the economic and security fields after the end of the war.
He also stressed his country’s rejection of what he described as the cycle of “war, ceasefire, negotiation, then return to war,” calling for an end to this pattern once and for all.
