The National Assembly participates in the summit of the heads of the parliaments of the Group of 20 – New Algeria

The summit slogan entitled “Benefit from Parliamentary Diplomacy to achieve global solidarity, equality and sustainability”, while South Africa, in the framework of this comprehensive slogan, seeks to “enhance the implementation of sustainable development goals and the agenda of 2063 for the African Union, and the development of global governance”, as well as “enhancing the momentum of building a new global system characterized by inclusiveness, representation, justice, fairness and sustainability.”
From this standpoint, and to enrich the discussion during the workshop tagged with “guaranteeing the sustainability of religion in low -income countries”, the representative of the National Assembly, Mr. Amron, pointed out that “the issue of religiosity is related to the threats that our world knows today, from terrorism, organized and immigration crime that reflected on the deterioration of development levels and the lack of development projects in the poor countries.”
He stressed that “the issue of sustaining religion is a shared responsibility, and on the parliamentarians as representatives of the will of peoples, the exercise of pressure on decision makers in their countries to commit to the sustainability of religion, that is, the ability to continue to serve their debts without resorting to restructuring or failure to pay, and without negative impact on social spending or economic growth.”
He considered that the matter is “not just a financial issue, but rather a issue that affects sovereignty, social stability, and the opportunities for development in low -income countries”, to confirm that “ensuring this sustainability requires integrated efforts that include internal reform, international support and long -term financial planning.”
He also pointed out that, in light of the current global challenges, it is “necessary for this issue to be dealt with with real global responsibility and solidarity.”
On the sidelines of the summit, members of the parliamentary delegation had “bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations of friendly countries Participation In this African demonstration, with the aim of enhancing consultation and exchanging visions and views on the developments of the international current, and issues of concern to African peoples, according to the same statement.
