Prime Minister: The community’s concerns are at the top of the president’s priorities – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Prime Minister, Seifi Gharib, confirmed that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, places the concerns of the national community abroad at the heart of his concerns, stressing the special status that the Algerian state gives to its citizens residing outside the country.

The Prime Minister explained, during his supervision of the opening of the symposium for heads of consular posts in the capital,

This trend was translated constitutionally through an explicit stipulation of the state’s role in protecting citizens abroad and their interests, preserving their identity and dignity, strengthening their connection to the nation, in addition to encouraging their contribution to the development of their country of origin.

Saifi Gharib pointed out that considering the national community abroad an integral part of the nation clearly reflects the special care that the President of the Republic gives to this vital component.

This has been embodied in practice through the continuous expansion of the network of consular representations in recent years.

In addition to the practical measures taken to facilitate services and protect nationals abroad.

In the same context, the Prime Minister called on the consular centers to follow the recent call made by the President of the Republic for the benefit of Algerian youth residing abroad in vulnerable or illegal situations.

Considering this as further evidence of the state’s keenness to settle their situation and establish the principle of protecting citizens in all circumstances and wherever they are.

Seifi Gharib stressed that holding this consular symposium constitutes an opportunity to renew the commitment to enhancing the performance of diplomatic and consular representations.

As the official face of the state abroad, in line with efforts to modernize public administration, simplify procedures, and improve the quality of services provided to the national community abroad.
