President Tebboune stresses the necessity of establishing foundations for dialogue and consultation with the trade union central and all free patriots – Algerian Dialogue

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed today, Wednesday, in Algiers, the necessity of establishing foundations for dialogue and consultation with the General Union of Algerian Workers and all free patriots in order to reach correct and non-circumstantial decisions.
In a speech on the occasion of his supervision of the ceremony to celebrate International Workers’ Day at the headquarters of the Trade Union Central in the People’s House, the President of the Republic said that “in order to reach correct and non-circumstantial decisions, there must be dialogue and consultation with the General Union of Algerian Workers, all free patriots, and all those who preceded us in patriotism and struggle.” “.

He explained that he shares the opinion of the Secretary-General of the General Federation of Labor in Algeria, Omar Taghjot, regarding the proposed new mechanism of convening a tripartite, but he stipulated that “it should not be like the previous tripartites whose decisions remained a dead letter.”

In a related context, the President of the Republic renewed his commitment not to resort to external debt, out of loyalty to the martyrs.

On the same occasion, the President of the Republic recalled “the period of the collapsed economy and the miserable conditions that Algeria was experiencing before 2019, the last year of the mafia decade.”

He criticized “the false speeches that claimed the treasury was unable to pay workers’ wages, that the exchange reserve had reached its lowest levels, and the corruption that ravaged all sectors during the decade of gang rule, in which the working class, the middle class, and the vulnerable class were completely abandoned.”

He considered that these practices were aimed at “demoralizing Algerians and handing the country over to the outside world by placing Algeria in the hands of the International Monetary Fund.”

The President of the Republic also reiterated that “the blessed movement saved the country from these practices.”
