President Tebboune pays great attention to the issue of writing history

The Minister of Mujahideen and People of Rights, Abdelmalek Tachrift, said that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, pays great attention to the issue of writing history, teaching it to generations, and honoring the symbols of the nation as well as national memory, in a way that enhances historical awareness and establishes a culture of recognition of the sacrifices of the mujahideen and martyrs.

In this context, Abdelmalek Tachrift, during his supervision in the state of Tlemcen, on Tuesday, the opening of the works of a national forum on the personality of the mujahid and the late President Ahmed Ben Bella, stressed that the President of the Republic pays special attention to the national memory, with the aim of fortifying the nation and consolidating the spiritual and cultural values of the Algerian people and the components of their identity, in a way that embodies the meanings of national unity, strengthens social cohesion, and resists all forms of intellectual and cultural alienation, and also attaches great importance to the issue of writing history. Instructing generations and honoring the symbols of the nation.

In his opening speech, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments recalled the historical and militant legacy left behind by this national symbol and African sage, especially his contributions to spreading the culture of liberation, supporting independence movements in Africa and Latin America, and crystallizing new ideas and approaches in resisting colonialism, that colonialism based on the usurpation of the land, the violation of dignity, the enslavement of man, and the plundering of goods.

The forum was marked by the presentation of valuable scientific interventions from specialized professors and researchers, through which they praised the struggle path of the late President Ahmed Ben Bella, from the revolutionary struggle to the restoration of national sovereignty, and the pioneering experience he led at the international level, while valuing the achievements and gains of the foreign policy of newly independent Algeria.
