President Tebboune orders the acceleration of the launch of the “zinc and lead mine” in Oued Amizour – New Algeria

President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers, which dealt with presentations on the launch of the zinc and lead mine in Oued Amizour, and follow-up the progress of the completion of the mining railway project for the Bilad Al-Hadba-Oued El-Kebrit – Annaba port line, to transport extracted and produced phosphates and fertilizers, in addition to the measures and arrangements taken, to supply the market during the month of Ramadan.

The statement of the Presidency of the Republic, today, Sunday, stated that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed during the meeting the necessity of launching the zinc and lead mine project in Oued Amisour in March 2026.

The project aims to provide jobs and economic benefits to the region and Algeria.
