President Tebboune: Attempts to engage in confusion and incitement in the drivers’ strike – New Algeria

The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, said, “It became clear to us that there were forces that attempted to engage in confusion and incitement regarding the issue of the drivers’ strike.”

During the regular media meeting, President Tebboune stated that all the words and demands of the drivers’ unions were acceptable, and the penalties stated in the draft traffic law regarding driving while drunk or drugged were reasonable.

In the same context, the President of the Republic added, “If consultations had been conducted before drafting the traffic law, we would not have reached a strike.”

The President of the Republic also revealed that President Tebboune, Speaker of the National Assembly, consulted him on the subject of the draft traffic law and asked him to carry out his duty according to his powers.
