Video: Moroccan provocation on the Algerian border and response by raising the Palestinian flag – New Algeria

Yesterday, a video clip was circulated showing a woman on the Moroccan side of the border raising the Zionist flag in a provocative manner towards Algerian territory, sparking a widespread wave of condemnation on social media platforms.

The video shows a group of people, likely tourists, taking pictures with the Moroccan and Zionist flags in the “Bein al-Jarraf” border area in the city of Saidia, before a woman turns towards the Algerian border and raises the Zionist flag, while an Algerian citizen responds by raising the Palestinian flag high.

This symbolic display comes at a very sensitive time, as it serves as a clear declaration of the Moroccan regime’s continued decline in the path of normalization to unprecedented levels, thus crossing all the red lines of Arab and Islamic constants.

Raising the Zionist flag on the Algerian border, according to tweeters, is not just a passing provocative act, but rather a stab in the side of shared history and a blatant embodiment of the new policy of loyalties that prioritizes alliance with the occupation over ties of blood, religion, and neighborhood.

In this context, the Moroccan opposition, Dounia Filali, commented through her account on the “X” platform, considering that what these Israelis did on Moroccan soil, specifically in the Ben Jaraf area adjacent to the Algerian border, does not only fall within the framework of the provocation directed at Algeria, but is considered a blatant violation of Moroccan national sovereignty and its symbolism.

Moroccan writer and dissident Hassan Benajah also expressed his dissatisfaction with this incident in a blog post on the From the Bein Lagrave area in the city of Saidia, adjacent to the Algerian border, witnessed the lifting of the brutal entity’s rag.

For its part, the Moroccan Front in Support of Palestine and Against Normalization condemned this shameful act in a statement denouncing it, in which it considered that the incident represents “a blatant challenge to the feelings of Moroccans and their Algerian brothers, to the Moroccan national consensus, and to the firm positions of the forces supporting the Palestinian cause.”

The statement added that this behavior reflects the racist nature of the Zionist entity and its citizens, and their endeavor to sow discord and tear the bonds of brotherhood between the Moroccan and Algerian peoples, and inflame tension between them, taking advantage of the continuation of the official and unofficial policy of normalization.
