These are the states concerned with suspending studies on Wednesday and Thursday – New Algeria

The Ministry of National Education announced the suspension of studies at all educational levels on Wednesday, January 28, and Thursday, January 29, 2026, in accordance with the urgent telegram sent by the Ministry of the Interior, Local Governments, and Transport, related to the special weather bulletin warning of strong winds, as reported today, Tuesday, in a statement by the Ministry.

The statement explained that the concerned states are Oran, Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Mostaganem, Sidi Bel Abbes, Saida, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Mascara, Relizane, Naama, El Bayadh, Chlef, Tipaza, Algiers, Boumerdes, Tizi Ouzou, Bejaia, Ain Defla, Blida, Medea, Bouira, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, El Tarif, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Setif, Mila, Guelma, Oum El Bouaghi, Khenchela, Tebessa, Biskra, M’Sila, Djelfa, Laghouat, Ouled Jalal, Souk Ahras, Batna and Constantine.
