Petkovic: “We corrected the mistakes and we will see the results” – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

The national voter, Vladimir Petkovic, revealed that he worked over the past few days to correct the mistakes recorded against Sudan, for the opening round of the national team’s campaign in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

During the press conference he held today, Saturday, in anticipation of the second round of the group stage match against the Burkina Faso national team, scheduled for tomorrow, Petkovic stressed the need to acknowledge the mistakes committed by the players in order to overcome them.

The national coach explained, saying: “We tried to address what happened, identified the difficulties we faced against Sudan, and worked to correct them, and we will see how successful that is in tomorrow’s match.”

Petkovic added that the technical staff conducted a detailed analysis of the Sudan match, noting that the opening match is often an opportunity to discover shortcomings and learn from them. He concluded by saying: “The first match is always an important experience for drawing lessons and improving performance in the upcoming matches.”
