Petkovic reveals the starting lineup for the “Greens” against the Democratic Republic of Congo – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

National voter, Vladimir Petkovic, revealed the starting lineup he chose to face the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the match scheduled for Tuesday evening, in the round of 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Algerian national team will face its Congolese counterpart, starting at five in the evening, on the floor of Rabat Stadium, in a strong confrontation that brings together the “Warriors” and the “Cheetahs.”

As expected, Petkovic relied on the ideal lineup for the “Greens,” after resting a number of pillars in the previous match against Equatorial Guinea at the end of the group stage.

In the defense line, the national coach included Rafik Belghali in the right corridor, and Rayan Ait Nouri in the left side after recovering from the cold he suffered recently, while the core of the defense was formed by the duo Issa Mandi and Ramy Bensebaini.

As for the midfield, it will be led by the duo Adam Budawi and Ismail Bennacer, along with the brilliant Ibrahim Mazza, who is performing at remarkable levels, and the fans are counting on him a lot to overcome the Democratic Republic of the Congo obstacle and reach the quarter-finals.

On the front line, captain Riyad Mahrez will lead the attack, along with Fares Shaybi, who excelled in the Equatorial Guinea match, and Mohamed Amin Ammoura.
