Parliament participates in a national meeting on education and youth empowerment – New Algeria

The Chairman of the Education Committee, BNational People’s AssemblyZakaria Belkheir, at the opening of a national meeting on education and youth empowerment in Algeria, to discuss ways to improve the education and training system and enhance youth empowerment mechanisms.

The council said in a statement:Commissioned by the President of the National People’s Assembly, Ibrahim BoghaliThe Chairman of the Committee for Education, Higher Education, Scientific Research and Religious Affairs, Zakaria Belkheir, participated today, Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the opening activities of a national meeting entitled Education and Youth Empowerment in Algeria in light of the Sustainable Development Goals, which was organized by the Supreme Council for Youth.

The meeting discussed – according to the statement – ways to promote youth participation in formulating and evaluating public policies, especially those related to improving the training system and strengthening youth empowerment mechanisms, in line with national commitments aimed at achieving sustainable development goals, at the Faculty of Media and Communication Sciences at the University of Algiers 3, in the capital, Algiers.
