Palestine warns against legitimizing settlement in the West Bank – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Tuesday, the official spokesman for the Palestinian Presidency, Nabil Abu Rudeina, condemned the statements of the Minister of Defense in the occupation government, Yisrael Katz, about the intention of the occupation authorities to legitimize more than 140 settlement farms in the West Bank, describing this as “a major escalation and implementation of the policy of racist annexation and expansion.”

Abu Rudeina stressed that these farms are considered illegal settlement outposts in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.

In particular, Security Council Resolution No. 2334, stressing that the occupation government bears full responsibility for the consequences of this escalation, which aims to expel the Palestinian population and implement attempts at annexation and displacement.

He explained that the so-called agricultural farms constitute an extension of the acts of terrorism carried out by settlers with the support and protection of the army.

Stressing that this measure comes in the context of a gradual plan to undermine international efforts aimed at restoring calm in the region.

Abu Rudeina called on the international community, led by the American administration, to intervene immediately to stop these policies.

Calling on international legal institutions to carry out their responsibilities to ensure the implementation of international law and the protection of Palestinian rights.
