The weekly government meeting studied a preliminary draft law that aims to establish a solid legal framework that accompanies the regulation of digital transformation and ensures its continuity and effectiveness, according to a statement from the Prime Minister’s interests, Tuesday.
The statement stated that Prime Minister Seifi Gharib chaired a government meeting on Tuesday devoted to studying several points.
In this regard, the same statement explained, “Initially, the government began studying a preliminary draft of a law that defines the general rules related to the field of digitization.”
The statement added, “This is a fundamental stage in creating an effective, secure and cohesive national digital ecosystem, especially by developing a modern governance model that relies on comprehensive digitization as a basis for administrative performance in the field of managing public affairs.”
Therefore, the same source continues, “The preliminary draft of this law aims to establish a solid legal framework that accompanies the digital transformation, and ensures its sustainability and effectiveness, by enabling our country to fully engage in the digital age.”
The statement indicated that the government also studied a draft executive decree specifying the conditions for establishing, organizing, managing and monitoring private institutions for specialized education and learning for children with special needs and mental disabilities.
The statement of interests of the Prime Minister explained that this draft text aims to establish private institutions, improve their organization and functioning, and take care of the developments stipulated in Law No. 25-01 of February 20, 2025, relating to the protection and promotion of persons with special needs, in order to provide better care, in addition to contributing to strengthening the efforts made by the state to generalize reception structures for the benefit of children with mental disabilities across the entire national territory.
