Opening 560 neighborhood markets at reasonable prices during Ramadan, starting from this date – New Algeria
560 neighborhood markets will be launched across all states of the country, starting next Monday, with the aim of ensuring that citizens are supplied with basic materials at reasonable prices during the month of Ramadan.
This is what the Minister of Internal Trade and National Market Control, Amal Abdel Latif, revealed today, Saturday, in a press statement during her supervision, along with the Minister of Environment and Quality of Life, Kawthar Kerikou, and in the presence of the Minister of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Issues, Soria Moulouji, on the launch of the national campaign to rationalize consumption and reduce food waste during the upcoming month of Ramadan, at the Central Post Office Square, amid the participation of representatives from a number of bodies and civil society.
The Minister explained, by the way, that measures are continuing in coordination with local groups to launch 560 neighborhood markets across 69 states starting next Monday, and this is in order to “bring commercial services closer to citizens, and enable them to purchase their needs with complete comfort, as through these markets various products will be offered at reasonable prices, with several discounts on a number of food items.”
In addition, the Public Economic Corporation has been directed to implement and manage the wholesale markets “Magro” to ensure the continuation of the wholesale markets for vegetables and fruits starting this week, in a way that ensures the continuity of supply during the weekend and avoids any disturbances in the market, adds Abdel Latif.
In this context, it appreciated “the strong involvement of economic operators in the solidarity dynamic, by offering significant discounts on the occasion of the month of Ramadan, which will be put on the markets starting tomorrow, Sunday, in a way that enhances the purchasing power of citizens and consolidates
“Spirit of economic and social responsibility.”
