Officially… the “Covid” grant was disbursed to those entitled to it before the month of Ramadan – New Algeria

The Ministry of Finance gave the green light to the health and population directors of the states, in addition to the directors of hospital institutions, university hospital centers, public health institutions, as well as mixed hospitals, to disburse the Covid-19 grant, part 11, before the onset of the month of Ramadan.
According to what was stated in an official correspondence bearing the signature of the Director of Finance and Means, a copy of which “elhiwar us” has, “it was decided to extend the deadlines for closing obligations and ordering disbursement and payment for public expenditures related to the disbursement of the Covid-19 grant, the eleventh part, for the year 2025. It was decided to extend the deadline for closing obligations until January 31, 2026, and extending the deadline for ordering disbursement and payment until 10 February and until March 31, in implementation of the applicable laws and regulations and the privacy of each institution.”
It was also noted that this procedure is being taken carefully in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Health, and within the framework of implementing the provisions of Decision No. 009 AHM No. 384 AHM, dated January 22, 2026, issued by the services of the General Directorate of Budget and the General Directorate of Treasury and Accounting of the Ministry of Finance, relating to extending the deadlines for closing obligations and ordering the disbursement and payment of public expenditures associated with the disbursement of the grant. “Covid 19”, the eleventh section, entitled the year 2025
The Ministry indicated that the open appropriations under the title of the additional budget for the year 2025, allocated for the benefit of public institutions of an administrative nature placed under the supervision of the Ministry, will be implemented with an exemption from the prior approval of the deliberative bodies, especially the boards of directors.
In return, those in charge of disbursement are obligated to inform the relevant bodies of all expenditures completed during the upcoming sessions, within the framework of respecting the rules of transparency and oversight.
At the conclusion of its correspondence, the Ministry called on all concerned officials to take all necessary measures to strictly adhere to the content of this decision and ensure its proper implementation within the specified deadlines, while emphasizing the necessity of accelerating the pace of disbursing the Covid grant so that health sector users can benefit from it before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.
