The bicycle is the spark of the beginning
A traffic accident disabled Abdul Raouf Ocean when he was only six years old.
Like his peers, Abdel Raouf chose to practice his favorite sport, football, despite the difficulties he faced.
As fate would have it, his official start in sports was through a bicycle, as the latter gave him the opportunity to travel to Canada and train with the Canadian Paralympic team before joining the national Paralympic team in 2013.
Stability in Türkiye
Ocean currently plays professionally for the Turkish Trabzon Municipal Club, after traveling to Anatolia for the first time in 2016.
The number 10 player linked a network of relationships with Turkish clubs first through social networking sites.
He then decided to move forward and go through the experience that he described as successful with the Osmanli, Izmir, Şahinbey, and then Trabzon clubs, and get to know the world of true professionalism.
The Algerian won several titles, including the local league, the Turkish Cup, then the Super Cup, then won the European Champions League and the best player award in the competition.
