The United States Embassy in Algeria has issued an important update regarding the procedures for obtaining a US non-immigrant visa. All applicants must conduct a personal interview with a consular employee, regardless of age.
This includes applicants under the age of 14 and over the age of 79, who were previously exempt, to be included in the new decision within the same mandatory path.
However, exceptions apply to some diplomatic and official visas, as well as to renewals of B1/B2 visas that have expired within the past 12 months, and the applicant must have reached at least 18 years of age when the previous visa was issued.
