The return match will take place next Tuesday on the grounds of “La Renovacion” stadium in the city of Douala.
The national team players began preparing for the date two days ago, as they trained twice at the national teams preparation center in Sidi Moussa.
Technical director Farid Benstiti summoned 26 players for the double confrontation, including the local goalkeeping duo, Lounes Lina from the Central Algiers club and Haliye Amina from JS Kabylie.
Ben Stiti was forced to replace the striker of the French club Saint-Malo, Morgan Icahn, with her colleague Enas Khairy, who is active in the Swiss club Yverdon Sport.
The women’s national team qualified for the second round, after defeating the South Sudan team with a score of 8-0 in the home and away matches.
The Algerian players are aiming to reach the African Cup finals, which Morocco will host for the third time in a row.
Algeria left the competition in the last edition with honor, as the team was eliminated from the quarter-finals, which it reached for the first time. Against Ghana after the match ended in a goalless draw and then resorted to penalty kicks (4-2).
The team will benefit from the experience gained by the players in the previous tournament, as most of the current squad concerned with the Cameroon match participated in the competition.
