A statement by the General Directorate of National Security stated, on Monday, that the Tlemcen police services were able, during a qualitative operation, to dismantle a criminal network specialized in illicit drug trafficking and arrest 4 people. The operation resulted in the seizure of 2 kg and 459 g of drugs (how processed), bladed weapons, two drones, and the recovery of a sum of money and 1 motorcycle.
In the same context, the security services of the state of Algiers, represented by the judicial police squad for the security of the administrative district of Sharqa, were able last week to paralyze the activity of a criminal network consisting of 3 people who organize and manage secret sailing trips, while seizing a boat equipped with a marine engine.
The same interests added that the current case was launched after the same team received information that a group of people were trying to organize secret sailing trips. As a result, field investigations were launched that led to the identification of 3 people who had preceded in court, who were preparing for illegal migration across the sea, as well as coordinating with people nominated for such illegal trips.
The Capital Police Department highlighted that the operation, which took place under the supervision of the regional competent prosecution, resulted in the arrest of the suspects and the seizure of a marine boat, a boat motor, 15 marine jackets, 180 liters of gasoline, and 6 barrels filled with water.
The National Security Services indicated that, after completing all applicable legal procedures, the suspects were presented before the competent regional prosecutor according to a file of criminal procedures.
