National Security dismantles an international criminal network that trades drugs

During a qualitative operation, the National Security Department managed to dismantle the activity of an international criminal network with an international extension, as 4 people were arrested with the seizure of 49,000 hard drugs, in addition to significant financial sums.

The statement of the General Directorate of National Security stated that the specialized operational interests of national security continues to address the organized crime related to drug trafficking, as the Central Authority for Control of Organized Crime Sclco managed, during the past week, from the arrest of 4 people active in an international criminal network of an international extension, with the seizure of 49 thousand tablets of solid drug (Exclusive) with a total weight estimated at 19 Clag.

The same interests added that the operation was carried out after extensive field investigations, which enabled the arrest of one of the network members and the revealing of its criminal style, which is to store solid drugs inside a tourist vehicle that is parking at one of the garages at the level of the city of Algiers with the aim of camouflage, so that the investigators after expanding the research circle reached the arrest of 3 other elements of the organized network.

The security services indicated that the operation implemented under the supervision of the competent prosecution also led to the seizure and retrieval of a sum of money in the national currency of more than 2.45 billion centimeters, sums of money from various foreign currencies estimated at 11.745 euros, 3619 US dollars, 8320 Canadian dollars, 1015 pounds, in addition to 5 tourist vehicles of various signs of criminal activity revenues.

The General Directorate of National Security stated that after completing all the procedures in force legally, the suspects were submitted before the public prosecutor to the Al -Sharqah Court to consider the case.
