During a qualitative operation, the National Security Services in the capital were able to overthrow an organized criminal network that specialized in drug trafficking, as two suspected eunuchs were arrested in connection with the drug trafficking case, with the seizure of (1.3) kilograms of processed kif.
The Algiers state security statement stated that the state security services, represented by the First Judicial Police District of Central Algiers, were able, last week, to arrest two people suspected of drug trafficking, with the seizure of (1.3) kilograms of processed alcohol.
The same authorities also added that this operation was carried out after extensive field investigations, which enabled investigators to uncover the activity of two suspects who were drug dealers, to identify and arrest them, and to seize this quantity of toxins.
The services of the Metropolitan Police highlighted that this specific operation, which was carried out under the supervision of the regional competent prosecution, enabled the seizure of a quantity of processed kif weighing 1 kg and 300 grams, in addition to a sum of money in the national currency estimated at 1 million and 800 thousand centimes from promotional revenues.
The capital’s security services indicated that, after completing the applicable legal procedures, the two suspects were presented before the competent regional prosecutor according to a criminal procedures file.
These qualitative operations carried out by police personnel come within the framework of combating all forms of organized crime, especially the scourge of drugs, to confirm the extent of the vigilance, professionalism and readiness of National Security, to protect citizens and their property, and to establish public security and tranquility.
