National Campaign for Training in first aid

The Algerian Red Crescent launched a national campaign for training in first aid directed to every citizen who wants to acquire basic skills in this field in order to contribute to saving lives and reducing losses when accidents occur, especially those related to the summer.
In a statement, the cost of the media in the Algerian Red Crescent, Hana Btayyib, confirmed that this campaign, which started at the end of the month of July, under the slogan “A paramedic in every home”, falls within the framework of efforts aimed at “consolidating the first ambulance culture” within society and enabling every citizen to “acquire the necessary knowledge that helps in saving lives and enhancing collective awareness of the importance of rapid intervention during the occurrence of accidents, whether inside the house Or outside. ”
In this context, Batib explained that the month of July and Awws was selected specifically to launch this campaign, given “the connection of the summer season with the occurrence of many accidents and dangers, such as forest fires, drowning and food poisoning”, highlighting that by the way “lessons and basic instructions” that help the ordinary citizen to “intervene in the first moments of any accident in an effective and easy way.”
This training campaign includes “theoretical and applied lessons and basic information related in particular to the advice that the citizen should follow during any accident such as the first psychological ambulance, and dealing in cases of bleeding and clamps”, according to the source who added that with such interventions “the citizen transforms from a witness to a tragedy or an amount of an accident to an actor and a direct intervention before the arrival of ambulances.”
Batib also indicated that the state committees of the Algerian Red Crescent through all the states of the country are a recruitment to receive citizens who wish to participate in this initiative, registered by the way the “great demand” that the campaign has known since its inception.
The same official explained that these formative courses will culminate in the participants in it “certificates in first aid”, highlighting that the current bet for the Algerian Red Crescent is to “involve the largest number of citizens and citizens and civil society actors in this initiative.”
To achieve this goal-the spokeswoman adds-the initiative of the Algerian Red Crescent, in addition to the media accompaniment to the event, by launching “media campaigns” through its digital platforms on social media sites as well as through its local media outlets.
