The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments confirmed, Youssef BelmahdiToday, Monday, the Quranic education is an essential pillar in preserving the identity of Algerian society and its authentic Islamic values, according to a statement by the Ministry.

In his speech during his supervision, Mr. Belmahdi expressed a national meeting with the sector’s tires and directors of religious affairs and endowments for the state’s mandate, through the technology of lectures remotely, devoted to the topic of “framing and developing Quranic education”, about “his pride in the achievements achieved by Algeria in the field of serving the Holy Qur’an”, stressing that “Quranic education in our country is an essential pillar in maintaining an identity Algerian society And its authentic Islamic values.

In the same context, he added that “the efforts of development, improvement and training remain continuous without stopping, in order to improve this blessed system.”

By the way, the minister pointed out that Algeria “has reached globally honorable ranks in the field of serving the Holy Quran, whether through the Algerian Qur’an or through the international competition for the Holy Quran or through the electronic reader, which is a unique model at the global level.”

In this regard, he pointed out that this meeting aims to “assess the reality of Quranic education through the various states of the country by studying statistics related to educational structures and the number of teachers and frameworks in order to develop performance and ensure the quality of training”, in addition to “emphasizing the need to unify the curricula at the first and second levels and follow up the implementation of programs directed to the category of young children.”

Mr. Belmahdi also highlighted his sector’s keenness to “update the methods of Quranic education by generalizing the use of modern technological means and secreting some pedagogical and administrative aspects”, recalling the inauguration of a smart Quranic school in the capital “as a model for the Ministry’s integration of Quranic education into the national digital transformation.”

On the same occasion, the minister called for “strengthening the role of state readers and activating field educational supervision”, in addition to “interest in Quranic female education and the development of his framework”, stressing “the importance of training professors, teachers and religious guides, and listening to field concerns for the purpose of improving performance and filling deficiencies.”

At the end of this meeting, he stressed that the Quranic education in Algeria “is not limited to memorizing the Book of God, but also instilled through it the love of the homeland and the fulfillment of the era of the martyrs, good manners and charity for others and the protection of the environment”, highlighting that “Koran It is guided to what I am in all areas of life. ”
