Moulouji: Support rural women at the heart of the state’s interests

The Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Suriya Moulouji, confirmed that the support and accompaniment of women is at the heart of the sector’s interests, especially rural women and residents of the desert and border areas, according to a statement on Saturday.

The minister explained, during a working visit and inspected its leaders to Ain Qazam, that the ministry “is working hard to accompany the rural and desert women in particular to enable them to obtain the various support programs that the state set in order to integrate them economically and socially and achieve the endeavor of supporting the spirit of feminist contracting and enhancing their social and economic role.”

In this regard, she highlighted that women at home in the border and desert regions “at the forefront of this interest”, noting that “despite the privacy of the areas in which they are present and distinguished by the geographical nature and special climate, the Sahrawi women play a prominent role in creating income -generating activities for them and their family as they contribute to local development.”

During her visit to the exhibition of desert feminist products in Ain Qazam and Tin Zawatin, Moulouji pointed out that these initiatives fall within the framework of “the ministry’s policy to accompany women products in marketing their products and searching for effective mechanisms to introduce the creativity of women at home, especially the desert ones, to enable them to access the local market.”

The statement indicated that on the occasion of this visit, “special devices for rural women were delivered to each of the municipalities of Ain Qazam and Tin Zawatin in the fields of cooking, sewing, models and leather, in the context of accompanying women at home to establish income -generating institutions and activities. And women’s issues, the training sector and the professional education.

In this context, Moulouji called on the interests of the neighborhood cells to “intensify the awareness campaigns to introduce the advantages of the mechanisms that the state provides to support the woman who is home.”
