Ministry of Interior: Preparations for the third phase of generalizing the vehicle numbering system – New Algeria

A coordination meeting was held today, Wednesday It was allocated to control preparations related to the launch of the third phase of disseminating the vehicle numbering system Via remote video lecture technology at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, with the frameworks charged with following up the file at the state level,

According to the ministry’s statement, this meeting came in implementation of the instructions of the Minister of Interior, Local Communities and Transport, Al-Saeed Saeedrelated to continuing to disseminate the exploitation of the national information system for vehicle numbering.

This national phase aims to integrate previously numbered vehicles across the entire national territory into the new information system, relying on state numbering cards.

The meeting focused on reviewing and controlling a number of organizational and procedural measures to ensure the comprehensive and effective dissemination of the information system, ensuring the regular flow of the process, and improving the mechanisms for processing numbering files at the level of the relevant departments.

The meeting also represented an opportunity to exchange views and enable representatives of the states to present the various registered concerns, especially those related to the previous two phases of disseminating the national information system, implemented during the months of May and October 2025, which included cars imported by resident individuals that were less than three years old, as well as new vehicles imported by individuals.
