Minister of Religious Affairs: Algeria is working to provide the best conditions for the Hajj and Umrah season – Algerian Al-Hiwar newspaper

Today, Wednesday, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youssef Belmahdi, accompanied by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, supervised an orientation meeting for tourism and travel agencies, devoted to discussing regulatory procedures to improve the quality of services provided to pilgrims and Umrah performers.

Belmahdi stressed that the state attaches great importance to the Hajj and Umrah file, as it is a direct service to the citizen, noting that the government, in coordination with the relevant sectors, is working to provide the best organizational, health and logistical conditions for pilgrims, in accordance with the regulations approved by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He added that the success of last season constitutes an incentive to continue developing the quality of services.

For his part, the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah stressed the Kingdom’s keenness to provide the best services to the guests of God, praising the level of coordination existing with the Algerian side, and stressing the continued development of the organization and improvement of services to ensure the comfort of pilgrims and Umrah performers and protect their rights.

The Director General of the National Hajj and Umrah Office, Dr. Taher Braik, also highlighted the importance of the meeting in strengthening field and institutional coordination and developing organizational and management mechanisms in line with the aspirations of the Algerian state.

The representative of tourism and travel agencies, Abdel Hamid Bashir, stressed the agencies’ commitment to the directives issued by the two ministries and to work as an effective partner to ensure the provision of services that live up to the expectations of Algerian pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims.
