In this regard, the Minister revealed that these statistics reflect the existence of a restructuring of the economic base in Algeria to be built on a transparent and fair system, so that it adheres to its responsibilities towards social security and creates a relationship of trust between employers and state institutions.

In another context, the Minister pointed out that social protection in Algeria is constitutionally enshrined and takes up an important part of the obligations of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In the same regard, the Minister expressed his satisfaction with the statistics provided by the International Social Security Association, which confirm that Algeria is in the first ranks in terms of the social coverage rate, which reached about 77 percent, considering it an honorable percentage compared to other countries.
The Minister explained that Algeria’s commitment in the field of social protection is “essential, as it covers all the risks stipulated in the International Social Security Convention, in addition to the grant for unemployment resulting from bad weather conditions that it provides to contractors working in the field of irrigation and public works, as employers benefit from Benefits to cover disability due to unemployment during that period.”
Regarding the digitization of the sector, the minister added that governance requires digital management, noting that his sector has more than 100 services directed to citizens through the electronic portal.
Regarding the second generation of the recovery card, Mr. Ben Taleb mentioned that there are more than 30 million beneficiaries of this advanced smart card, as it stores more than 40 prescriptions and more than 400 medications for the socially insured, considering it an important gain for citizens.
