Bruno the inspiration and Carrick the engineer
The performance of Manchester United players has improved impressively since the appointment of former English player Michael Carrick as interim coach in mid-January.
The Red Devils achieved six victories and one draw during seven matches supervised by Carrick.

United were late in responding, as the team ended the first half defeated, despite having possession of the ball for most of the periods.
Fernandes succeeded in breaking Palace’s defenses, after passing a deep ball to his Brazilian colleague Matheus Cunha.
Cunha did a good job of covering the ball with his body to run towards the goal, prompting defender Lacroix to block him.
Referee Chris Kavanagh issued a double penalty against the visiting team, sending Lacroix off with a red card and announcing a penalty kick, which Bruno successfully executed to equalize the score.

The Portuguese national team playmaker returned to make the difference, as he provided a cross pass that Slovenian scorer Benjamin Cesko followed in a wonderful way, hitting a header that goalkeeper Henderson was unable to block.
