The Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, Yassin Mahdi Walid, confirmed that the generalization of mechanization will allow avoiding the loss of significant proportions of production, before noting that recent studies have proven the loss of 10 to 20 percent of grain production in each harvest season due to a delay in starting the process, the use of inappropriate techniques, or equipment that does not meet the necessary standards.
Today, during his participation in a study day on incorporating the results of scientific research into the development of the dry grains and legumes divisions, the Minister of Agriculture highlighted the importance of the measures approved by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the working meeting he chaired on agricultural mechanization, stressing that their impact will be significant on the sector’s profitability.
