Saadawi stressed that the Ministry has adopted a work methodology based on participatory dialogue and careful listening to all social partners, with the aim of reaching a consensus formula for the draft amendment to the Basic Law, which takes into account the public interest of the sector and ensures the professional and social stability of its employees, including initiating the draft amendment and sending it to the competent authorities for study as soon as possible, and avoiding recording observations or subsequent reviews.
The Minister noted that Basic Law No. 25-54 falls within the framework of embodying the high directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune. Aiming to improve the professional and social conditions of employees of the national education sector, and to raise their status from employees to educators. By providing the necessary privileges and incentives that befit this noble mission. In this context, he recalled the gains that have been achieved for the benefit of sector employees, whether through the compensation system or through the procedures included in the Basic Law. Such as creating new ranks, raising classification, and advance retirement. Approving adapted positions and reducing the number of employees, while emphasizing that work is continuing to complete and enhance this endeavor.
The Minister of Education confirmed that the discussion on the draft amendment to the Basic Law is still open. The completed rounds can be supplemented by additional rounds when necessary.
