The activities of the National Festival for Scientific, Cultural and Sports Excellence – 2025 Edition, which was hosted by the University of… Continuous training Didouche Murad Liafsi – Al-Bayed Center, in a special festive atmosphere dominated by the spirit of honorable competition and intellectual and cultural convergence, and with the broad participation of university students from its various centers across the national territory.
The closing ceremony witnessed the presence of the Governor of El Bayadh State, Mr. Noureddine Belaribi, and Professor Dr. Yahya Jaafari, Director of the University of Continuing Formation, along with the President of the State Popular Council, Professor Abdelhamid Madi, as well as university administrators and the university family, and the participation of more than 150 male and female students representing 18 university centers from various states of the country.
In his speech on the occasion, Professor Dr. Yahya Jaafari, on behalf of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamal Badari, stressed the great importance of such scientific, cultural and sporting events in promoting the cognitive and entrepreneurial thought of students, and developing the spirit of innovation and creativity, pointing out that the university has become an integrated space whose role is not limited to academic training only, but goes beyond it to accompanying students and motivating them to take initiative and entrepreneurship.
The university director also highlighted the consistency of this initiative with the vision of the higher education and scientific research sector, which aims to establish 20,000 start-up institutions by the year 2029, stressing the pivotal role of the University of Continuing Education in supporting this trend through training, supervision, and encouraging innovative ideas with an economic and development dimension.
For their part, the participants noted the multiple dimensions of this festival, especially the sports dimension, which contributed to creating an inclusive space for fair competition and promoting the values of teamwork and discipline, considering this event as a winter university that combines knowledge, culture and sports, while emphasizing the necessity of continuing this initiative in future editions after the success achieved by its first edition.
