Learn about the winners of the President’s Award for Literature – New Algeria

In recognition of their outstanding efforts and contributions, a number of researchers and innovators were crowned today at the Abdellatif Rahhal International Conference Center with the President’s Award for Arabic Literature and Language in its first edition, coinciding with the celebration of International Arabic Language Day.

In the field of the flourishing of the Arabic language, Al-Siddiq Butouta was honored with the first prize for his research “Glossary of Satellite Terms and Definitions.” Lakhdar Far won the second prize for his specialized research in the dictionary for the construction, public works and irrigation sectors. While the third prize was won by Ali Kashroud for his book “The Guide to the Rulings of Orthographic Drawing.”

In terms of literature and creativity, the first prize in the novel category was won by Nana Baba Hani for her novel “Al-Nayriyya,” and the second prize in the poetry category was won by Fatima Gharbi for her poem “Daughters of the Horses,” while the third prize in the short story collection category went to Hafiza Mimi for her collection “It is Forbidden to Throw away Gametes.”

The creation of this award comes within the framework of the care that the Algerian state gives to the Arabic language, as it is a pillar of national identity. It is an essential tool in building knowledge, promoting scientific research, and encouraging creativity.
