Launching an electronic platform “Escort” to enhance accompanying the elderly – New Algeria

Today, Monday, the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family, and Women’s Issues announced the launch of the electronic platform “Escort,” with the aim of strengthening the accompaniment of the elderly and their families and providing them with comprehensive support, according to a statement from the ministry.

A statement from the Ministry explained that the platform represents an interactive digital space that provides a comprehensive services system that takes into account the legal, solidarity, and social dimensions, ensuring facilitating daily care for the elderly and improving their quality of life.

The goal of this platform is to create a digital space open to everyone, providing information and guidance that would facilitate keeping the elderly person in his normal environment of living, that is, in his family, and protecting his right to participate in public social life.

According to the statement, the platform includes information related to the various services and assistance provided by the National Solidarity Sector for the benefit of elderly persons, information that benefits elderly persons, and the persons or families who take care of them, whether legally, socially or cooperatively, instructions and directives that facilitate daily care for elderly persons who are in a dependent situation.
