Launching an electronic card to purchase medicines for non-insured people… Details!! – New Algeria

Tomorrow, Monday, the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Abdul Haq Sayhi, together with the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Issues, Soria Mulji, will supervise the official launch ceremony of the electronic card to benefit from medicines for the benefit of the needy and socially uninsured.

The introduction of the electronic “Al-Shifa” card for this category comes as a culmination of an integrated path of efforts led by the Ministry of National Solidarity, embodying the directives of the President of the Republic, where regulatory texts were prepared and practical procedures were set, ensuring the effectiveness of the application, transparency of benefit, and ease of access to this vital social right.

As a reminder, the socially insured have been able to benefit from free medications since July 2025, by submitting a file at the level of the Social Affairs Department in the municipality of residence, which is responsible for transferring it to the State Directorate of Social Activity and Solidarity to study it and decide on requests for benefit, within a maximum period of fifteen (15) days from the date of receipt of the file.
