Starmer: Britain will not be dragged into war with Iran and is seeking a quick solution to the crisis

British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, confirmed that his country will not be drawn into a war with Iran, stressing its continued efforts to reach a quick solution that guarantees stability in the region.

Starmer indicated that Arab coordination continues daily at this stage to contain the escalation, explaining that once the fighting stops, it will be necessary to reach some kind of agreement through negotiation with Iran.

He added that opening the Strait of Hormuz is not an easy task, noting that Britain is working with allies to restore freedom of navigation in the region. He also confirmed that the British forces deployed include thousands of soldiers in Cyprus and three squadrons of fighter jets working to intercept any potential attacks from Iran.
