Hamas announced, on Sunday, that the negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip are suspended since the failed assassination attempt by leaders in Doha on September 9, and that it had not received any new proposals in this framework.
The movement said in a statement: “Hamas confirms that it has not received any new proposals from the brokers.”

On Sunday, the movement stressed its willingness to study “any proposals that reach from the mediators with all positive and responsibility, and in a manner that preserves the national rights of our people.”
On August 18, Hamas agreed to a proposal for the brokers on a partial ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal, but Israel did not respond to the mediators, despite its conformity of its provisions with a previous proposal to put it and Takouf and agreed to Tel Aviv.
The Israeli opposition and the families of the prisoners accuse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of aborting any opportunity to reach a deal to end the war and restore their relatives in order to preserve his political interests and remain to rule, despite Hamas’s approval of the brokers’ proposals for a partial as well as a comprehensive deal.
